Anna Gabai is a comic scholar, curator, author and educationist.
- She holds Master degrees in Arabic, Islamic Studies and Jewish Studies as well as Adults Education. Anna Gabai studied in Venice and Berlin and did several stints in Arabic countries.
- She curated two exhibitions about Arabic comics at Comic-Salon in Erlangen and Fumetto Festival in Lucerne.
- Furthermore she contributed as a researcher and advisor to the exhibitions comiXconnection (at Museum für Europäische Kulturen in Berlin), ‘Comic leben – Comic life’ (at Museum für Europäische Kulturen in Berlin) and History Campus in Berlin (funded by Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung).
- She worked at Mantova literature festival in a team of Arabic literature specialists.
- Additionally she worked as a comics editor at Correspondents.org.
